“MULTI-EVENT SENSOR APP (MESA 3.0)” – COLLECTING SHARABLE SCIENTIFIC DATA ON INVESTIGATIONS. Brian Layth (Kentucky - USA)

Big data is the next step in further understanding anomalous phenomena from either a skeptical or believing position. To help foster citizen science and big data collection, we developed an Android-based mobile application (‘app’) that measures a variety of environmental variables including (a) electromagnetic fields, (b) barometric pressure, (c) temperature, (d) lighting levels, and (e) gravity. Four different functional modes produce time-synced, distributional outputs that can be time synced with the Survey of Strange Events, general commentary, EVP sessions, and pictures and audio. Demonstrations of environmental analysis and site documentation will be provided in the hope of gathering citizen science investigators to collaborate in collecting large shareable bodies of data.

Can Hypnosis Induce an Out-Of-Body-Experience? -  Joyce Bok & Dr Alexander De Foe  (WA & VIC)

Joyce and Alex conducted a controlled experiment to see if an Out-Of-Body-Experience (OBEs) can be induced by hypnosis.  The study also aimed to obtain evidence of the OBE by asking the participants to identify a target.  We explored the questions:  Can the hit rates be increased through practice; and Are there pre-existing factors which could enhance the hit rates? Joyce and Alex will present the quantitative and qualitative findings.

Dealing with the Ego when becoming a Medium – Cherie Dupont  (VIC)

Cherie will be speaking about the basic underpinnings of a world view and belief from a psychic medium's perspective. The ethics involved with being a psychic medium from a counsellor's perspective will also be addressed. Cherie will introduce a way of perceiving and working with the human ego, the present moment and the responsibility of holding oneself in a certain way during psychic work and general life with spiritual wisdom.

Poltergeist - The Night Side of Physics is a close-up theoretical and scientific analysis of the activity that took place in the Bothell house, located in a suburb outside of Seattle, Washington (USA). Spontaneous fires, stone-throwing, teleportation, apport, asporting, strange water puddle appearances, objects levitating, strange sounds - it's all here. How is the poltergeist able to perform these machinations? What's the mechanics behind it? Keith Linder a survivor of the Bothell home will be talking about the activity he and his girlfriend experienced.  Asking the question? Can quantum physics explain the machinations and existence of poltergeists?  Keith Linder believes poltergeists are a third-party entity. Sentient beings with the ability to tap into areas of quantum physics that humans have yet to explore.
